On a Cold and windy evening Worthing Whites played their SCFLWALKING Over 50s game away v Shoreham. Both teams started well and it was Shoreham who drew first blood when a shot squirmed through our makeshift keepers hands 0-1. Whites then steadied themselves and start getting into Shoreham but they held fast.
As Whites pushed on, a loose ball fell to a Shoreham player who passed upfield to their forward who was all on his own and he duly slotted home.
0-2...
This is how it stayed til half time...
Both Teams made several changes and the Whites scored twice in as many minutes with 2 screamers from Matthew Pettman.
2-2.
This seemed to spur Shoreham on and they scored 4 more goals to secure a 2-6 win.
Not a true reflection on Whites performance with a lot of to be taken from the way they played.
