Today saw our Over 60s Blacks in a tough away game to Horsham FC in The SCWFL.
On a bitterly cold blowy morning we took a couple of minutes to get going on a wide pitch with tiny goals. It was a game that we dominated with our passing game, taking nothing away from Horsham who were well organised and defended doggedly.
We created chance after chance but with small goals and a keeper on top form, we found ourselves 0-0 at half time.
2nd half Horsham frustrated the Blacks by playing some really good keep ball although chances came and went with Horsham's keeper making 8 or 9 quality saves.
Midway through the half we were awarded a free kick on the edge of their area. The ball was laid back to Duncan Moore who rifled it in to the corner giving the Blacks a well deserved lead...1-0
And that's how it stayed.
Well played Horsham, and great hospitality after with tea, coffee and biscuits.
Congratulations to the Blacks on yet another shut out... That's 5 in a row.
