Tonight saw our Over 60s travel away to Ringmer in The SCWFL.
It was a game we dominated from start to finish with Ringmer, who looked happy to pick up a point, playing many back passes to their keeper.
When we did have the ball we carved out chance after chance. Peter Knee, holding up the ball well and Duncan Moore, Ade Cooper and Neil Flockton very industrious. Pete tested the keeper, several times as did Neil but he was in excellent form making 4 or 5 outstanding saves. 0-0 at half time.
We swapped Pete for Danny Dunk and he did a great job testing the keeper and laying ball off for others. Half way through the second half we took the lead with a quickly taken free kick. Neil dummied their defender and slotted into the corner. 1-0
Their keeper produced 2 more excellent stops, his best from Ade Cooper who's shot was heading into top corner before he tipped it wide. With Steve Page sweeping up any attempts from Ringmer the game finished 1-0 to Worthing...
Another Clean sheet making it 5 clean sheets in a row.
Well done to all involved.
